FEATURED PROJECT

Projects that push boundaries

Every project is as unique as the student who creates it, guided by their own curiosity and ambition.

ISM students don't just report on topics — they produce original work that fills real gaps, proposes new ideas, and demonstrates what's possible when a student works with a true professional partner.

AI-Assisted Diagnostic Tool for Rural Clinics

Designed a prototype diagnostic tool to help understaffed rural clinics triage patients more accurately. The project involved researching current practices, creating the prototype, and consulting with a practicing physician to refine the design.

FEATURED PROJECT

Real-world impact starts here

The program empowers students to realize that they already have something meaningful to contribute.

When students choose topics they genuinely care about, the work reflects that passion. Many ISM projects have real-world impact, from receiving professional recognition to inspiring others in the field.

Low-Cost Water Filtration for Underserved Communities

Designed and tested a scalable, low-cost water filtration system using locally sourced materials, informed by field research and a mentorship with a civil environmental engineer.
